This is less helpful now that moves are free, but I still appreciate it.

It was also meant as a documentation so you can also learn more about other elements so you can start planning on how to counter act them.
For example, if you dodge an Earthbender’s BoulderToss, chances are that he used it on full energy if the impact of that move left a large dent in the area you dodged away from. This means that he’ll have some downtime on his powerful moves or that he’ll use the less powerful version of his moves, as Earthbender’s moves scale in size and damage depending on the energy stage they are in (check the Earthbending guide for more info). :P
